In the early hours of Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, residents of a neighbourhood in Glyfada, a suburb of Athens, Greece, were startled by an explosion that occurred at the entrance of an apartment building. The incident is reported to have happened at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Vospórou Street when unidentified individuals placed gas canisters at the scene, leading to the explosion.

The explosion resulted in a small fire which was quickly extinguished before the arrival of the fire brigade. Despite the prompt containment of the flames, minor damages were reported to the entrance of the building.
